Expedition itinerary:

a) Plaza de Mulas

1. Arrival to Mendoza and transfer to the hotel in the city centre. Dinner in the restaurant.

2. Obtaining necessary climbing permits. Organizing transport to the base.

3. Sightseeing, and visiting some cultural landmarks.

4. Leaving Mendoza and arriving to Puente de Inca (2700m) by bus. One hour hike to the Horcones national park, and making the camp.

5. Horcones- Confluensia (3300m) - (about 6 hours). Making the campsite. Rest.

6. Confluensia. Acclimatization. Climb to 3800m and return to the camp.

7. Confluensia- Plaza de Mulas (4200m)- (about 7 hours). Making a Base Camp. Rest.

8. Plaza de Mulas- medical check up (pulse, blood presure, oxygen level…). The acclimatization plan will be made according to medical result.

10-21. Climb to the highest summit of South America, Aconcagua (6962m)

22.  Plaza de Mulas- Confluensia. Rest.

23.  Confluensia-Puente de Inca. Bathing in a mountain spa. Return to Mendoza by bus. Arrival to the city in the evening.

24.  Homebound flight departures.

 

The price includes:

  • Bus transport in Argentina
  • Accommodation in a hotel in Mendoza
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner in Mendoza
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner in Base Camp-Plaza de Mulas
  • Climbing permit on Aconcagua (6962m)
  • Entrance fee to the National park
  • Transport of the equipment on mules from Puente de Inca to Plaza de Mulas and back
  • Professional guide during the climb

 

The price does not include:

·        Food that is being prepared in first and the second high camp. It can be bought in Mendoza and costs about 30$.

  • Personal Expenses.

  • Bar bills & Beverage.

 

Note: The food will be transported to the base camp with other equipment.
